I enjoyed your monologue and agree we're in a strange "holding pattern" as far as the reckoning. I still question everything and look for integrity and solutions though and I think something will happen soon that brings us closer to a new paradigm. There are so many shaky and vulnerable institutions hanging by a thread but as you say are still continuing, propped up by a corrupt monetized system that rewards dull obedience over necessary reform.
It's shocking to me that it hasn't spiraled into absolute chaos but still I think something has to give soon. There are too many lies and deceptions, too many manipulated and controlled narratives that are doomed to fail as the situation deteriorates. I can see it starting to happen as more people can see and know the deceptions and contradictions because of alternate media and connections that weren't available a few years ago.
Maybe it's better that it doesn't collapse too hard too fast but who knows how it will play out. It's a lot of complexity and hard to predict but there are theories, like chaos theory that suggest that chaos will build, resistance will peak, and then... fail, before the new paradigm emerges.
