They don't care about the people enough to bother.
What they want is the ability to direct a limitless percentage of the global economy into their pockets by convincing the public that it is completely necessary. If you don't spend what they demand, you will die. Anyone who opposes it is a murderer. They want to suck every last penny out of end of life care so they don't have to bother with a death tax that is too unpopular.
For the most part, it is working. Watch the videos telling people where is the best place to retire. Number one on the list is "access to healthcare." They want healthcare to be a natural right. Since I qualified for Medicare, I have been bombarded with calls and mail trying to convince me to take all manner of screenings and services. I shocked a neigbor when they asked if I had started getting home health care and I told them I have no reason.
They really don't need to use draconian measures to keep us under control. All they need to do is convince everyone that we need these services to survive.
The only thing that is going on is a fight for control between private insurance and government run healthcare to see who gets to control the unlimited pot of money. They already have about 20% of the entire economy under this and have designs on increasing that.
People in general are nothing more than herds of cattle... herds of cattle stampede when frightened and must therefore be corralled in to keep them safe from themselves... The lesson in all of this is don't be part of the herd.
