Amsterdam says banning ads for meat, flights, and petrol cars gives people “more freedom.” But when the state starts curating desire in the name of liberation, the burger poster is only the beginning.
All advertisement is propaganda (just ask Edward Bernays)... it can be simple and overt (a hamburger for instance), or complex and covert (political)... even the perceived absence of propaganda has an effect... it's an interesting study... propaganda that is.
The most harmful idea -- one that I hope more people scrub from their own consciences and temperaments -- is that a monopoly-violence institution, a coercive civil authority, an imposed social order, a.k.a. "government," is good or even a so-called "necessary" evil.
It has never been about the environment or our health. It has always been about power, direct extraction of money, and engineering their vision of Utopia.
They believe that "those lesser" people are are incapable and must be trained to have the "right" opinions to be controlled. They have always used the zealots that they find, infiltrate them, and turn them into their army of "Useful Idiots".
It is never about the target. It is about building mechanisms of control. It is about extracting resources from one segment of the population at a time to build their own empire from the ashes. Yes, they are trying to build a Utopia, but their vision of Utopia is one where they are in control of everything.
It is the tried and true method of divide and conquer. Create a villain of one segment of the population and then unleash their hounds on them. Make the target a pariah and then take everything from them until they are destroyed. They did it with the Jews in WWII. They did it with the rich with Socialism. Then once the villain of the day is defeated, they round up their army of idiots and direct them to the next target. If they don't comply, they throw them in the Gulags and reeducation camps.
Listen to them carefully and the truth slips out. They want to bring in "immigrants" but not to better the immigrant's lives. They want to build their next army. They don't care that the immigrants are being exploited once they are here as an underclass. In fact, that makes them ripe for being the next army of useful idiots to rally.
They usurp whatever zealots that they can find. They have taken over the environmental causes. They have taken over education. They have taken over safety. They have taken over HR in business. They drive wedges between people. They are all for minorities, as long as they follow their plan. If they don't follow the narrative, they shun and seek to destroy them. It plays out over and over.
