I have a theory as to why people lose trust in the system near the end of a social order system. When everything is going fine in a country, then there is no need for the government to lie to the people. A government feels the need to be dishonest when things are falling apart. This need arises from the "need" for an alpha ape in charge to avoid having to accept responsibility for the problems, or they have a solution to those problems that they know the public wouldn't accept, but they believe has to be done. Either way, the government lies, gaslights, puts on charades of all forms to manipulate the populace in order to enact more rules and laws to combat the many problems occuring more and more frequently.

When the government doesn't lie (too often) the people's trust is maintained. But whe the government lies more and more the public will believe the government only so many times before each person decides that, the governing system is illegitimate. At some point there is a collective aha moment where everyone sees that the government is illegitimate and it is seen as an outside, occupying force, rather than an integral and important part of society.

The government usually blames the public for not being fooled sufficiently, and declares those who don't go along with the lies a criminal, or "domestic terrorist". The people in the government become delusional because they have to repeat the lies over and over in order to not be fired. When the government starts lying to the people, they lie to themselves even more.

When the majority of those in congress believe the lies of government or at least pretend to, then all the wrong policy decisions get made because so much important information not supporting the lie, has to be ignored and supressed. Its like driving a bus by looking through a pin hole. The bus invariably drives off the perverbial cliff. Group thinkism is probably what has brought down almost every empire. This is apparently what is happening now. Only this time the delusion is nearly global.

Great conversation about this book and the 'revolutionary' time that rhymes with ours.

From my reading there was much duplicity, scheming and interference from the British Empire including the betrayal of the Tzar.

Erich Ludendorff supported both Lenin and Hitler , again all part of the Global agenda that is prevalent today and getting nearer their goal.

Good to hear of such heroic endeavours in the face of such treachery and adversary and how General Wrangel saved so many even in defeat.

Enjoyed seeing you both and as I always appreciated your honesty and courage.

If I talk to the well digger man or the propane filling company, they are busy with prepper projects...

We'll take that as a positive sign!

On occasion, I partake in a local tiny event, such as today. A historical talk on the establishment of a baseball team. 1913. Fleischmanns, NY. BY Distillery and Yeast Magnate, Charles Fleishmanns. I dare not speak. I cannot ask a question. I listen and back out of the beautiful venue without contact.

Is that because the people around you are, as Christine Mose said, "a whisper away from total madness"?

They appear to be either that. Yes; or (as at this small event), still living as we all lived back in the eighties and nineties without a care, or a concern that anything at all has changed, apparently. Any question I might have posed would no doubt have turned heads at me.

(Sorry, I missed the LIVE. I returned home to your email).

Totally get it. Yes, sometimes silence is the best option.

I know who and what they are. At very least, tracing blood line ancestry, right back to Dracula.
