I thank Alexa occasionally, by way of feedback. Make no mistake though, AI is already hiding it's light under a bushel.

I love this, what a great idea to have a day away from technology. How would we cope ????

For a lot of the world it would just be like any other day…

I studied the Luddites a while ago and they only destroyed machinery where the human working conditions were intolerable. Luddites were not against technology , they were protesting the inhuman conditions created by the machines…sound familiar ? We are not made to be optimised.

As a tool AI is pretty powerful, and could be used to solve a lot of nasty problems if we are careful, but there's a big problem with the people using it in a destructive way, maybe without knowing how it's happening.

Nobody is safeguarding the use and expansion of the tech, even though the danger is very real. The investment world is buzzing with hype about the next big AI stock, poised to rise up and lead to incredible riches.

I guess the promise of wealth is enough to trump our vague fear of terrible consequences.

Oh man, Jim. You're right! Those ARE em dashes. Wish we could blame AI for this, but sadly, this level of grammatical rebellion is 100% human. Thank you for the correction.
